Big-city office workers are constantly plagued by expensive, yet poor-quality lunch options, so you could imagine my delight when I was asked by a friend to grab a midday bite with her at Fabarnak restaurant and cafe. After my surprisingly spectacular lunch there, I was delighted to abandon those $14 orders at the local salad bar forever!
Fabarnak is less a restaurant and more a vehicle for social change, what they describe as a “social enterprise.”
